Helpful information for Detectorcon 2022...

Here you will find some useful logistical and background information for the Detectorcon 2022 rally, including dates, location, nearest train stations, airports, taxis and hospitals.
The postcode and further event information will be sent out by email to all ticket holders a few days before the rally.

NB: This will go to the email address that you used to purchase your ticket on EventBrite. If you bought your ticket from someone else - you will have to get them to change the ticket contact details in their eventbrite account - or forward the info email to you.

You will need to have your PRINTED ticket with you to enter the site, where it will be scanned.
No ticket = No entry

Dates...

  • The rally will run from Friday 29th July until Monday 1st August.
  • Check-in will be available from noon on Friday.
  • Detecting available all day Saturday and Sunday.
  • A dig briefing will be given at 9.15 am each morning.
  • Digging starts at 9.30 am and keeps going until evening.
  • Full weekend tickets include camping from Friday-Monday.
  • Live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
  • All attendees must have left the campsite by 11 am on Monday 1st August.
Rally Dates

Location...

  • The rally will be located close to Bellingham, in Northumberland.
  • Specific location details will be provided to ticket-holders (by email) in the week before the event.
  • The rally land is located less than 10 miles from Hadrian's wall.
  • At least 4 hoards (Bronze age and Roman) have been found within less than 1 mile of the rally land.

  • The land available to detect will be a mix of pasture, ploughed and woodland.

Northumberland Medical Services will be on site to provide first-aid support 24 hours/day.

Dogs

  • Dogs are ONLY allowed if they are kept on a lead at ALL times.
  • Dog mess MUST be cleaned up by the owner and dipsosed of in the bins provided - failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the event.
  • Owners are responsible for taking care and cleaning up after their dog at all times - any breach of rules will result in you being made to leave the event without a refund.
